Under cabinet lighting is a wonderful way to add style and efficiency to a kitchen.  Overhead lights are usually shining over the shoulder with your back to the light, making it difficult to see clearly as you work.  Under cabinet LED lighting is the best because it’s energy efficient, meaning it costs less to use than halogen, incandescent, or fluorescent.

An easy way to install LED under cabinet lighting without wiring is to install a puck light.   This type of light can be placed under cabinets anywhere by sticking it to the underside, although some allow you to install it with screws.  Batteries are its power source and you can select however much light you need with a dimmer switch.

You can direct the light where you need it up to a 30-degree angle.  Besides lighting a kitchen counter, the puck light can also light a closet, a workbench, a dark entry way, hallway or anywhere else extra lighting is needed.
