LED Tube Lights – Economical and Environmentally Safe

LED tube lights can replace the familiar fluorescent tubes that have been around for years.  The LED variety is much more energy-efficient, using 80 percent less energy and lasting nearly 50,000 hours.  It is more environmentally safe having no mercury or lead in its makeup.

The “T” on the label of any type of tube light indicates its shape, or tube.  The number after the “T” such as “5” indicates the diameter of the tube in eighths of an inch or 5/8 inch.  Power ranges from 4 watts to 15 watts.  Brightness is measured in pcs and ranges from 90 pcs to 240 pcs.  The higher the number of pcs, the brighter the light produced.

Tube lights are available in any length to replace bulbs in lamps run by battery and home fixtures.
